BookenDeX is designed to work without an account. This policy explains what the site processes today and what happens when you follow an external link.
Information you provide
When you enter a title, author, ISBN, genre, or reading request, the search text is sent to BookenDeX so the catalog can return results. BookenDeX does not currently connect those searches to a user account or build a personal reading profile.
Books saved in your browser
The “Saved for later” feature is device-local. Saved titles remain in your browser rather than a BookenDeX user account. You can remove them through the site or clear the browser's stored site data.
Technical and security information
The hosting infrastructure may process routine request information such as IP address, browser type, requested page, timestamps, and error details. This information supports delivery, reliability, abuse prevention, and security. BookenDeX does not sell personal information.
Cover images and external services
Book cover images may be requested from Open Library when pages load. BookenDeX also links to Amazon, Google Books, and Open Library. When you follow an external link, that service receives the request and applies its own privacy, cookie, and account policies.
Retailer links
BookenDeX participates in the Amazon Associates Program. Amazon links labeled “Affiliate” include the BookenDeX tracking ID, which Amazon may use with its own technologies to attribute qualifying activity. When you follow an Amazon link, Amazon receives the request and applies its own privacy, cookie, and account policies. BookenDeX does not receive your Amazon password or payment information.
Cookies and analytics
BookenDeX does not currently use an advertising network or a third-party behavioral analytics profile. Essential hosting or security technologies may still be used to operate the site. Future analytics or advertising tools will be reviewed and disclosed before activation.
Children's privacy
BookenDeX is a general-audience book discovery service and is not directed to children under 13. The site does not knowingly request personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
This policy will change when the site's data practices change, including the addition of contact forms, accounts, analytics, or affiliate tracking. The updated date at the top will identify the current version.
